ETPN2026 | Dublin | 17–19 June 2026
About us
ETPN2026 is the 21st Annual Event of the European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine, taking place in Dublin from 17 to 19 June 2026. The event is organised by ETPN and hosted by RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, combining a strong European nanomedicine community framework with a leading academic and clinical setting in central Dublin.
ETPN leads the overall event coordination, programme strategy, community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.
RCSI hosts ETPN2026 in Dublin and provides the academic setting, local support and venue coordination that make the event possible.
Together, they create a fully in-person European event designed to connect science, translation, clinical relevance and community value.
A medically grounded host in the heart of Dublin
Founded in 1784, RCSI has been at the forefront of healthcare education for more than two centuries. Today, it is a world-leading international university and research institution focused on medicine and health sciences, making it a particularly coherent and credible host for ETPN2026.
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences
RCSI combines academic excellence, clinical culture and international outlook across the healthcare spectrum. Its schools, faculties, research teams and educational centres are all oriented toward medicine, health sciences and patient-centred impact.
For ETPN2026, this gives the event more than a prestigious address. It places the meeting inside an institution whose daily reality already connects education, healthcare practice, research and innovation.
Why RCSI fits ETPN2026
RCSI is not just a host venue. It is an institution whose identity resonates strongly with the purpose of ETPN2026: bringing together science, medicine, translation and real healthcare relevance.
A long-standing medical institution
With roots going back to the 18th century, RCSI combines historical depth with a modern international university profile in medicine and health sciences.
Across the healthcare spectrum
RCSI brings together students, educators, clinicians, researchers and health leaders across multiple disciplines, creating a natural environment for interdisciplinary dialogue.
Education, research and innovation
The institution stands out through its focus on educational excellence, patient-centred research and innovation-driven training environments.
A sense of the RCSI environment
These images give a broader feel for the institution itself: its campus atmosphere, medical identity and innovation-oriented educational setting.
RCSI combines a contemporary academic environment with a strong health sciences identity in the centre of Dublin. Beyond its architectural character, the institution stands out through its international outlook, its medically grounded culture, and distinctive assets such as the RCSI SIM Centre for Simulation Education and Research, which reflects its commitment to innovation in healthcare education and training.
RCSI matters for ETPN2026 not only because of where it is, but because of what it represents: a medically grounded institution where education, research, simulation and healthcare innovation come together in a coherent way.
The European nanomedicine community behind ETPN2026
The European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) is a long-standing European association dedicated to accelerating nanomedicine innovation, collaboration and translation. As organiser of ETPN2026, it brings together the wider ecosystem around clinical relevance, industrial reality, European coordination and concrete pathways to impact.
ETPN at a glance
ETPN acts as a European think tank and coordination platform for nanomedicine, bringing together industry, academia, healthcare actors, innovators and public stakeholders across Europe.
Its role goes beyond networking. ETPN helps structure the field, connect the right communities, increase visibility, support European project building, and strengthen the translation of promising technologies toward real healthcare use.
That broader mission is exactly what ETPN2026 is designed to reflect.
What ETPN brings to the community
ETPN helps members and partners engage more effectively with the European nanomedicine landscape by combining community-building, strategic positioning and practical support.
- European visibility and cross-border collaboration
- Stronger links between science, industry and clinical translation
- Access to a highly specialised community and trusted network
- Support around funding, matchmaking and innovation acceleration
- Opportunities to inspire and connect the next generation through the ETPN Academy
Why ETPN matters in practice
These are some of the concrete ways the platform supports its community across Europe.
Influence and strategic positioning
ETPN helps members engage with European policy discussions, strategic collaboration and the broader structuring of nanomedicine in Europe, giving them a stronger voice in how the field evolves.
Network, visibility and access
Members benefit from a uniquely specialised European community, wider visibility through ETPN channels and events, and repeated opportunities to meet collaborators, users, clients and partners.
Funding and transfer to clinic
ETPN contributes to matchmaking, funding intelligence and innovation support, while also helping connect members to the broader translational ecosystem around manufacturing, characterisation, mentoring and clinical development.
A platform that does more than organise events
ETPN’s value is not limited to one annual meeting. It is built through year-round community animation, project support and strategic ecosystem work.
Support European collaboration
From partner search to brokerage logic and project emergence, ETPN helps create the conditions for stronger European consortia and more connected innovation pathways.
Raise visibility for members and initiatives
ETPN provides multiple channels to highlight organisations, news, opportunities and achievements, helping members gain recognition within a highly targeted and relevant audience.
Accelerate talent and community development
Through the ETPN Academy, webinars, workshops and annual events, the platform also plays a role in supporting younger talents and keeping the wider community active and connected.
Bridge science and implementation
One of ETPN’s distinctive strengths is its ability to connect research excellence with industrial, regulatory and clinical realities, helping promising ideas move closer to practical impact.
